  • Patent number: 8840405
Abstract: A GPU connection apparatus for an aircraft towing vehicle comprising a vehicle-mounted ground power unit (GPU). The GPU includes a GPU cable having a first end which is connected to the GPU and a second end which includes a GPU connector that is configured to be plugged into a GPU receptacle on an aircraft to be towed. The GPU connection apparatus includes an intermediate cable having a first end which comprises a cable plug and a second end which comprises a cable receptacle. The cable plug is configured to be plugged into the GPU receptacle. In addition, the cable receptacle is configured to receive the GPU connector. In use of the GPU connection apparatus, the cable plug is plugged into the GPU receptacle and the GPU connector is plugged into the cable receptacle to thereby electrically connect the aircraft to the GPU.

  • Publication number: 20050005610
Abstract: The endcover assembly for a combustor includes an endcover having an aperture, an insert disposed in the stepped bore opening through an internal face of the endcover, a fuel cartridge extending through the insert and aperture and a seal cover on the external face of the endcover. Seal cover/endcover annular seals are disposed in registering axial cavities to seal against fluid leakage externally of the endcover assembly. Generally C-shaped and W-shaped seals are disposed in the cavities between the stepped shoulders of the insert and aperture to seal against leakage through the internal face of the endcover. The seals maintain sealing engagement during assembly and thermal distortion during turbine usage.

  • Publication number: 20040068759
Abstract: An audio/visual distribution system includes head end equipment for receiving a radio frequency audio-visual (A/V) signal from an information source, and a plurality of transmitters and receivers. The transmitters are coupled to the head end equipment and tune to any of a plurality of RF channels, convert the RF signal to a baseband A/V signal and transmit the baseband signal over twisted pair cabling for a distance of up to 2000 feet. The receivers receive the baseband signal and reconvert the baseband signal to an RF signal. The transmitters utilize differential drivers which receive voltages from a filtered split supply power source in order to drive the baseband signals over twisted pairs. The receivers include equalizers utilized in conjunction with the video signal, and differential amplifiers. The receivers generate NTSC baseband (stereo) audio and video signals and/or an RF signal.

  • Patent number: 4280301
Abstract: A material handling system is provided having particular application in grey iron foundries. In general, the system provides a continuous flow of work from the time castings are removed from their molds until the castings are ready for shipping. In particular, the system includes an environmentally acceptable grinding room work station in the form of a totally enclosed work area. Means for feeding material into and from the work station include a first plurality of gravity feed input chutes operatively coupled to a conveyor system on the input side of the work station, and a second plurality of gravity feed output chutes leading to another area on the output side of the work station. The conveyor system is designed to carry the castings from shake-out to the enclosed work area. Scrap is separated from the molded parts prior to their entrance into the work area and rejected parts continue along past the gravity feed input chutes to an accumulation storage device.
