Abstract: An apparatus for applying a patterned coating to an OLED substrate in a continuous roll-to-roll vapor based deposition process is provided comprising a vapor deposition source, a processing drum, a drive roller, and a shadow mask wherein the shadow mask comprises a mask line feature that selectively prevents deposition of the coating onto the substrate. Also presented is a method for applying the coating.

The system includes a user interface class system generating a user interface class that has two or more user interface features that can be assembled into a user interface by an operator, such as field entry prompts and data display fields. The system also includes a handler class system generating one or more states for each user interface feature of the user interface class, such as to navigate through the field entry prompts and data display fields. The user interface class system, in conjunction with the handler class system, generates the user interface code that causes the selected user interface features and associated states for the user interface features to be generated.

An inventory control helper system connected to the purchase order system and the sales order system generates inventory control data based upon the sales order data and the purchase order data. A general ledger helper system coupled to the purchase order helper system, the sales order helper system, and the inventory control helper system generates general ledger data based upon the sales order data, purchase order data, and the inventory control data.

Abstract: A document processing system for performing multiple document processing tasks while the documents travel in a straight line document path is provided. The document processing system may include a transport system for transporting the documents in a straight line path, a sensing system for sensing the presence of the document, an optical system for projecting the image of the document, a camera module for receiving the projected image and storing it onto film, a film marking system for placing blips on the film adjacent the document image, a film numbering system for placing alphanumeric characters on the film adjacent the document image, an endorsing system for placing a printed endorsement on one side of the document, an electro-optical scanning system for scanning the image of the document processing the signal into a bit mapped image or for use with external communications devices, scanning for bar code symbology, and imprinting characters on the documents.

Abstract: A nylon battery separator material for use in nickel-cadmium batteries has a laminated construction comprising a nonwoven web of nylon staple fibers sandwiched between a pair of webs of spun-bonded nylon fibers. The staple web comprises nylon 6 and nylon 6-6 fibers. The spun-bonded fibers are nylon 6-6. During manufacture the staple web is fed between the webs of spun-bonded nylon fibers. The three webs form a sandwich which is passed through a stack of heated calendar rolls. The maximum temperature of the stack of calendar rolls is greater than the softening temperature of the nylon 6 fibers, but less than the melting temperature of the nylon 6-6 fibers. Upon cooling, the webs of spun-bonded fibers will be bonded to the staple web by the re-solidified nylon 6 fibers, whereby the laminated battery separator material is formed.
