  • Publication number: 20230383479
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing an artificial turf (600) and the artificial turf obtained by this method, the method comprising: incorporating an artificial turf fiber on a carrier (104); adding a polyurethane reaction mixture on the back side of the carrier (106); and hardening polyurethane reaction mixture to form a polyurethane backing, characterized in that pyrithione zinc is added in the polyurethane reaction mixture to provide antimicrobial property to the polyurethane backing.

  • Patent number: 7306825
Abstract: A synthetic leather is made by a impregnating a non-woven or woven textile with an aqueous polyurethane dispersion comprised of a nonionizable polyurethane and an external stabilizing surfactant. The impregnated textile is then exposed to water containing a coagulant for a coagulation time sufficient to coagulate the dispersion. The method may be used to form a synthetic leather having excellent wet ply adhesion and may contain an insoluble multivalent cation organic acid.

  • Patent number: 5646195
Abstract: Polyurethane foam backed textiles, particularly polyurethane backed carpets can be prepared using a formulation including a dialkyltin sulfide catalyst. Use of the dialkyltin sulfide catalyst allows for a delayed gellation without substantially increasing the time from gellation to cure. The delay in gellation provides for improved handling and backing quality.
