  • Publication number: 20230273641
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention disclose a method of producing a portable electronic device cover glass. The method comprises providing a portable electronic device cover glass preform of a predefined thickness, for example ranging from 10 micrometers to 600 micrometers, and texturing a surface of the portable electronic device cover glass preform such that said surface is provided with a roughness that simulates the surface of paper in terms of a user's reading experience and writing experience.

  • Publication number: 20230235463
Abstract: A method to reduce the total anode mass of a cathodic protection system by reducing or eliminating the total cathode area is disclosed, the system comprising: a metallic first-layer coating which being anodic to the component or substrate to be protected, bonded to the component or substrate and electrically conductive. A sacrificial anode in the form of a metallic second-layer coating is distributed over the first-layer coating. The second layer coating has an open circuit potential that is equal to the first-layer coating or being anodic to the first-layer coating and to the substrate, the second-layer coating electrically conductive, bonded to the first-layer coating and exposed to the surrounding environment.

  • Patent number: 11377746
Abstract: A sensor (4) for monitoring cathodic protection (CP) levels, i.e. cathodic protection potential and current capacity, the sensor being arranged to perform measurements of galvanic current and polarized potential between, on one hand, a reference object and, on the other hand, one of: i) a sacrificial anode (2) and ii) a protected component (1). The sensor comprises a reference electrode (5) in electrical and electrochemical contact with a metal sensing element (6) which has a defined surface area (6?) exposed to an electrolyte, the sensing element electrically coupled to one of the sacrificial anode (2) or the protected component (1) via a resistor (15) and a switch (12).

  • Publication number: 20130116962
Abstract: Method for estimating cool down in a subsea oil and gas production system, which system includes at least one piping or equipment. The method includes the steps of, at shut down of the production in the system; obtaining data from CFD cool down analysis results for a range of temperatures of production media in the system; obtaining data from a temperature sensor in the system; and estimating the actual coldest temperature in the system from the CFD analysis results obtained based on data from the temperature sensor.
