  • Patent number: 9033735
Abstract: A contact plug for direct electrical contacting of contact surfaces is provided on both sides of a circuit board. The contact plug includes two flexibly interconnected contact carriers, which form, between each other, a plug receptacle for the circuit board and each have at least one contact element extending into the plug receptacle. A spring is provided whose two free spring legs engage over the two contact carriers i the insertion direction of the contact plug and bias them in the direction of each other. A control channel, which is formed between the two contact carriers nd laterally adjacent to the plug receptacle and, in cooperation with a control wedge provided on the circuit board, pivots the two contact carriers open in opposition to the action of the spring upon insertion of the circuit board. A seal seals the two contact carriers in a mating contact plug on the reverse side. The two free spring legs of the springengage over the two contact carriers in the insertion direction of the contact plug.

  • Publication number: 20070255123
Abstract: The present invention is a testing device for testing analyte levels in bodily fluids. The testing device comprises memory (202) for storing data, said data being analyte data related to analyte measurements carried out by the meter and lifestyle data; initiation means (102) for initiating immediate entry of data related to a specific category of lifestyle data; navigation means (104) for entry and navigation of said data; and transfer means (258) for transferring said data to said memory. Preferably, the testing device is a glucose meter and one of the analytes being tested is glucose.

  • Patent number: 7210331
Abstract: A detecting element is described, in particular a gas sensor for detecting the concentration of a gas component in a measuring gas, including a sensor element which is exposable to the measuring gas and has a connecting end section which is contacted by connecting cables and is exposed to a reference gas atmosphere. The end section is accommodated in a protective sleeve having a radial opening over which a gas-permeable diaphragm covering the at least one radial opening is provided, the diaphragm, in turn, being engaged by a clamping sleeve having at least one radial opening. To avoid the axial penetration of liquids between the clamping sleeve and the diaphragm, which would cause the detecting element to malfunction, the clamping sleeve is caulked axially above and below the radial openings. Both caulking zones are designed in such a way that the diaphragm is compressed with increasing force from the inner caulking edges facing each other to the outer caulking edges facing away from each other.
