    Abstract: A communication network has at least one mobile wireless device and a plurality of further wireless devices installed on a line. In order to exclude or to minimize data packet losses in the communication network, a respective wireless device of the further wireless devices is configured to operate in each of the two directions of the line for communication with other wireless devices of the further wireless devices of a respective wireless channel pair. The mobile wireless device is configured to operate all wireless channels of the wireless channel pair exclusively for receiving data. An additional wireless channel is provided. The mobile wireless device is suitably configured to operate the additional wireless channel exclusively for transmitting data, and the further wireless devices are configured to operate the additional wireless channel exclusively for receiving data.

    Abstract: An ad hoc communication network includes at least one vehicle-side radio device connected to a vehicle, a plurality of track-side radio devices installed on a track of the vehicle, and a monitoring and control unit, which is connected to at least one track-side radio device for communication. The track-side radio devices communicate, without logical connection with other track-side radio devices located within the radio range and with the vehicle-side radio device and forward received data to other track-side radio devices located within the radio range. At least two other track-side radio devices are located in each direction along the track within the radio range of each track-side radio device. The track-side radio devices transfer received data to the closest and to the second closest track-side radio device in at least one direction along the track.

    Abstract: In a method for data transmission in a network containing multiple subscribers, a uniquely identifiable data packet is sent from at least one first subscriber to all adjacent second subscribers. The data packet is received by each second subscriber and it being ascertained whether the data packet has already been received and/or sent by this second subscriber previously. Further, the method involves the data packet being sent from each second subscriber to all adjacent third subscribers if the respective second subscriber had not yet received and/or sent the data packet previously. The method allows a high level of transmission quality to be achieved. A subscriber for receiving and transmitting data packets in a network and a network for transmitting data packets having multiple subscribers uses such a method.
