  • Patent number: 11134404
Abstract: In the context of measurement configuration in the presence of multiple carriers, and in particular supplementary cells, LAA SCells, a method is provided to scale the measurement period that takes into account the capability of the UE to perform, for example by means of multiple searchers or increased buffer capacity, to measure multiple carriers simultaneously. The method comprises determining a scaled period (p) according to the following equation: p=pDMTC*min[n, ceiling(NCC/NCC_support)]; selecting respective selected occasions for each of NCC carriers out of occasions for measuring a respective reference signal, wherein the occasions occur with the predefined period (pDMTC), and the respective selected occasions occur with the scaled period (p); and inhibiting a measuring of a respective reference signal at occasions different from the respective selected occasions for each of the NCC carriers.

  • Publication number: 20210250865
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to uplink control information for uplink information based on wake-up signals. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, the terminal device determines based on transmission information at a first time point whether a predetermined number of the one or more occasions overlaps with active time of the terminal device. The terminal device determines the configuration for transmitting the uplink information based on the determination. In this way, ambiguity has been reduced and the flexibility of the network is improved.

  • Publication number: 20210250851
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure provide a method, device and computer readable medium for detecting cells in scenarios of carrier aggregations. According to embodiments of the present disclosure, if the terminal device receives information indicating to connect to a different cell from the currently connecting cell, the terminal device detects the different cell in a spatial direction of the beam on which the information is received. In this way, a significant reduction in terminal device search and measurement effort is achieve, which leads to significant reduction in the latency.

  • Publication number: 20210119688
Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing multi-beam downlink channel control procedures. The invention allows for power savings at a user device by indicating what states are to be used and/or indicating deactivation of receiver panels. • Publication number: 20210076324
Abstract: Method, apparatus, and computer program product for a user equipment in a wireless communications system to receive configuration information that has one or more TCI-states. With this configuration information, the user equipment can then determine inactivity on TCI-states. Based on that determination, the user equipment enables either a discontinuous monitoring or a cessation of monitoring on those TCI-states. Each TCI-state corresponds to a radio beam and also corresponds to an antenna panel. By reducing such monitoring, the use equipment can deactivate antenna panels corresponding to the TCI-states. The determination can be done through the use of a timer with various time thresholds based on the TCI-state. The activity being transmitted on those beam can be scheduling received by the user equipment from a network element such as a base station. The TCI-states can also be grouped and the functionality of the invention dealt with on a group basis.
