  • Patent number: 8848821
Abstract: Transmissions are received on a plurality of uplink physical resource blocks. An acknowledgement or negative acknowledgement for each of the received transmissions is mapped to a downlink channel, such that linear increasing sequential indices of the physical resource blocks map to linear increasing sequential indices of n groups of the downlink channel which repeat until all the physical resource blocks are mapped, in which the downlink channel comprises a plurality of n groups.

  • Patent number: 8625632
Abstract: Messages containing interference vectors are transmitted efficiently to user equipments over a downlink channel. A pre-coding indicator channel is used for transmission in an over-the-air packet-based communication system. A table of pre-coding matrix indices or pre-coding vector information is transmitted to user equipments configured in a spatially multiplexed multiple user MIMO configuration. The UEs receive the pre-coding vector information that allows them to determine the pre-coding vectors used to communicate in the downlink direction from a MIMO base station to other MIMO UEs in the cell or system. The UEs use this information to actively suppress inter-user interference.

  • Patent number: 8532017
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for long term evolution in 3GPP. More particularly, the transmission of transmission power control command signaling in a down link control channel to user equipment. The present invention also provides a method and apparatus for identifying a target user equipment for a transmission power control command. The transmission power control command for physical uplink control channel and for persistent physical uplink shared channel assignments is transmitted via a downlink control channel format 3.

  • Publication number: 20110243090
Abstract: In accordance with the exemplary embodiments of the invention, there is described herein at least a method, executable computer program, and apparatus to form a resource allocation for a particular bandwidth, including defining at least one search space for a first bandwidth region used by a first user equipment and for a second bandwidth region used by a second user equipment, each search space including control channel elements, where there are first control channel elements in the first bandwidth region and second control channel elements in the second bandwidth region, and transmitting information descriptive of the resource allocation to the first user equipment and the second user equipment.

  • Publication number: 20110222629
Abstract: Precoding information is provided (implicitly or explicitly) to a particular user equipment UE. Closed-loop spatial coding for a control channel is selected for the particular user equipment, and at least one control channel element CCE is determined within the particular user equipment's search space of the control channel that is associated with the provided precoding information. The determined at least one CCE is spatially encoded using the provided precoding information to schedule radio resources for the particular user equipment. The UE determines a search space for a control channel, and from received radio resource control signaling determines at least one CCE within the search space that is to be encoded with closed-loop spatial coding. The UE decodes the determined at least one CCE within the search space using a closed-loop spatial decoding with precoding information associated with the at least one CCE to find radio resources scheduled for the particular UE.

  • Publication number: 20110205942
Abstract: A method of reordering and pairing the set of elements, such as Control Channel Elements (CCEs), coming out of an interleaver for a channel, such as the Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH), in such a way that power balancing provides almost equal impact on all Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols reserved for the control channel, while also taking the suggestions for the power balancing into account is provided. Corresponding apparatuses and computer programs are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20100009687
Abstract: A system and method by which individual user equipment items can be informed about subframes re-used or exceptionally used for unicast transmission. In various embodiments, a dedicated indication is transmitted to each item of user equipment. This indication may comprise, for example, a dedicated message transmitted to those user equipment items that will get additional unicast downlink allocations in the re-used subframes. In other embodiments, common broadcast signaling is used to indicate subframe re-use to all items of user equipment. This signaling may be transmitted on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) as a common broadcast message.
