Abstract: The present invention relates to a skin-care composition comprising beta-glucan and a natural oil, as well as either one or both of hydrogen peroxide and lactic acid. The skin-care composition is mainly based on natural ingredients. The composition has biocidal/anti-microbial activity and is very skin-friendly and non-irritative. The skin-care composition contains beta-glucan, which has an emulsifying effect, as well as a smoothening and moisturizing effects on the skin. A skin-care composition of the present invention does not negatively affect the barrier function of the skin.
