    Abstract: A device for synthetizing a message in response to an interrogation signal, the message consisting of a number of separate digits, terms, etc. indicating the value and possibly other features of a quantity. The device has a recorder with a number of endless tracks with individual recordings of digits, terms, etc., which can be used to constitute the desired message, and read-out devices, with a program device and logic circuits for controlling the delivery of the message and to repeat that same message a predetermined number of times.
