  • Publication number: 20230407195
Abstract: A process and a system for conversion of a hydrocarbonaceous feed comprising at least 10 ppmw and less than 10000 ppmw of one or more halides, and at least 20 ppmw and less than 10000 ppmw organically bound nitrogen, to a hydrocarbon product stream by hydrotreatment, in the presence of a material catalytically active in hydrotreatment and an amount of hydrogen, wherein said hydrocarbon product stream comprises an amount of ionic halides and an amount of ammonia, said process including: a) separating in a first separation step at a first separation temperature the mixed product stream to provide an overhead stream and a bottoms stream, b) combining the overhead stream with an amount of wash water and c) separating in a second separation step the combined overhead stream and wash water in a non-polar stream of hydrocarbon product and a polar stream of wash water comprising ammonium halides.

  • Publication number: 20220306952
Abstract: A process for conversion of a hydro-carbonaceous feed including ionic halides to a hydrocarbon product stream by hydrotreatment, wherein the stream is combined with wash water, the weight ratio between wash water and hydrocarbon product stream water is between 1:10 and 10:1, wherein the combined hydrocarbon product stream and wash water are separated in a non-polar stream of hydrocarbon product and a polar stream of wash water including ionic halides, such that from 50% of the ionic halides are transferred from the hydrocarbon product stream to the polar stream of wash water including ionic halides, wherein the polar stream of wash water is directed to a means of concentrating, to provide a stream of purified water and a stream of brine having a concentration of ionic halides being more than 2 times and less than 100 times above that of the polar stream of waste water including ionic halides.

  • Publication number: 20220204869
Abstract: A process plant and process for conversion of a hydrocarbonaceous feed, having a feed temperature, to a hydrocarbonaceous effluent, having an effluent temperature, by hydrotreatment, in the presence of a material catalytically active in hydrotreatment and an amount of hydrogen, wherein the conversion is exothermal and wherein an amount of the effluent will solidify at a solidification temperature above the feed temperature and below the effluent temperature, and wherein the feed is preheated by heat exchange, utilizing thermal energy from said effluent, wherein the heat exchange is mediated by a fluid heat exchange medium being physically separated from the feed and the effluent and having a temperature above the solidification temperature, with the associated benefit of such a process being highly energy effective, while avoiding solidification in the process lines, especially when hydrotreating feedstocks including halides.

  • Publication number: 20200355160
Abstract: This invention relates to a bulkhead unit, a wind turbine blade comprising the bulkhead unit, a lifting device and methods of assembling and installing the bulkhead unit in the wind turbine blade. The bulkhead unit comprises a bulkhead element substantially extending in a radial direction and a frame structure attached to the bulkhead element. The frame structure provides support for the bulkhead element and additional components mounted to the frame structure. The frame structure comprises a plurality of frame elements which are interconnected to form a number of areas that are aligned with corresponding openings in the bulkhead element. The lifting device is used to lift the bulkhead unit into position and fix the bulkhead unit relative to the blade shell.

  • Publication number: 20160107977
Abstract: The present invention relates generally to methods of synthesis of diterpene heterocylic compounds. More particularly, the present invention relates to efficient methods of synthesis of ingenol (Formula (21), CAS 30220-46-3), from a compound of formula (1). The present invention also provides for various advantageous intermediates along the synthetic route of ingenol. Efficient synthesis of ingenol is important in the design and synthesis of related analogues, such as ingenol-3-angelate.

  • Patent number: 7579163
Abstract: The invention provides a process for the production of biomass by culturing a microorganism in an aqueous liquid culture medium circulating in a loop reactor having an effluent gas removal zone where from carbon dioxide-containing effluent gas is removed from the reactor and upstream thereof a degassing zone in which a driving gas is introduced to drive carbon dioxide in the liquid phase into a separable effluent gas phase and having upstream of said degassing zone a nutrient gas introduction zone in which oxygen is introduced into the reactor and mixed with the liquid culture medium therein, characterised in that oxygen introduction in said nutrient gas introduction zone is effected at a plurality of locations along the flow path through said loop reactor at a rate such that the average dissolved oxygen content of said liquid culture medium measured using a polarographic oxygen electrode does not exceed 25 ppm.
