  • Publication number: 20070068851
Abstract: Partial conversion hydrocracking process comprising the steps of (a) hydrotreating a hydrocarbon feedstock with a hydrogen-rich gas to produce a hydrotreated effluent stream comprising a liquid/vapour mixture and separating the liquid/vapour mixture into a liquid phase and a vapour phase, and (b) separating the liquid phase into a controlled liquid portion and an excess liquid portion, and (c) combining the vapour phase with the excess liquid portion to form a vapour plus liquid portion, and (d) separating an FCC feed-containing fraction from the controlled liquid portion and simultaneously hydrocracking the vapour plus liquid portion to produce a diesel-containing fraction, or hydrocracking the controlled liquid portion to produce a diesel-containing fraction and simultaneously separating a FCC feed-containing fraction from the vapour plus liquid portion. The invention also includes an apparatus for carrying out the partial conversion hydrocracking process.

  • Publication number: 20070053538
Abstract: The invention regards an audio device and comprises a microphone and a sound canal allowing sound to pass from the surroundings to the microphone. Further a signal path from the microphone to a receiver is provided and powered by a current source, such that sounds received at the microphone may be enhanced and presented at the ear level of the user. According to the invention a protection screen is provided at the sound canal, whereby the screen comprises a first surface which faces the surroundings and a second surface which faces the sound canal whereby the screen has a slit formed opening between the first surface and the second surface whereby the transition between the first surface and the slit formed opening is smooth and gradual, and whereby a sharp edge forms the transition between the second surface and the slit formed opening.

  • Publication number: 20070036375
Abstract: In an output stage for a hearing aid (62), a reduction in the power consumption for low level input signals is obtained through the use of a time-averaging output driver (42), whereby the output transducer is subject to three different conditions of operations, this being obtained through the generation of three-state control signals for control of a H-bridge. The three-state control signals are generated through the use of a time-averaging device whereby the two-level output of a single bit Sigma-Delta modulator (21) is transformed to a set of control signals that, at any given time, can assume one of three states. In a preferred embodiment the time-averaging device is a delay (40).

  • Publication number: 20060263501
Abstract: An apparatus and method for cooking in heated water any dehydrated powdered food, including West African yams, garri and rice known collectively as fufu flour, beef, poultry, seafood, carrots, fruit, and any combination thereof, forming a product having varying degrees of thickness and hence varying cooking requirements, requiring correspondingly varying schedules for heating, dispensing, rehydrating and cooling. The apparatus is controlled by a microprocessor, either manually programmed or preprogrammed, for cooking various dehydrated powdered products according to a schedule particular to each at a push of a button. The apparatus has a heater for rapid heating, a dispenser which holds and dispenses the product into a cooking container, and a fan for rapid cooling if required by a cooking schedule. The apparatus benefits from a novel rehydration process that rapidly mixes water with the product to facilitate cooking such food almost instantly.

  • Publication number: 20060165499
Abstract: There is described an apparatus and a fixture used in determining position and for producing assembling holes in a spectacle lens for rimless spectacles. The assembling holes are intended for receiving a U-shaped bracket which is used in fastening bridge and side bar hinge. The apparatus and fixture includes interacting guide pins and guide holes. These guide holes/pins are unambiguously disposed. The guide holes will preferably be placed symmetrically in relation to a hole center line for the lens, when this is placed in the fixation opening of the fixture with the hole center line disposed opposite to markings at the fixation opening. The assembling holes are thus placed symmetrically in relation to the marking. By such a system it is possible to make rimless spectacles that appear very accurate, without special skilled qualifications on the part of the optician to make assembling holes in the lenses.

  • Publication number: 20060153634
Abstract: The coupling device (9) comprises a first connector part (10) and a second connector part (11), the connector parts (11, 10) comprising connecting portions (16a, 16b, 13, 14) for engagement with corresponding connecting portions (16a, 16b, 13, 14) of the other connector part (11, 10). A disengagement means (12) is provided for assisting in disengaging the engagement between the connecting portions (13, 14, 16a, 16b).

  • Publication number: 20050181322
Abstract: A method and plant for manufacturing cement clinker are disclosed, in which cement raw meal is calcined in a calciner (3, 23). The calciner (3, 23) comprises an upper zone (3a, 23a) and a lower zone (3b, 23b), where fuel, combustion gas and raw meal are introduced into the upper zone of the calciner and directed downward through the calciner. The combustion gas and raw meal are introduced tangentially into the calciner and subject to rotation follow a spiral-shaped flow path, and, under the action of gravity, the raw meal is primarily directed down along the wall of the calciner. The rotation of the combustion gas in at least the lower zone of the calciner is subjected to braking and approximately simultaneously or subsequently at least some of the combustion gas and at least some of the raw meal in the lower zone of the calciner is directed in the direction towards the centre-line of the calciner.

  • Publication number: 20040236293
Abstract: The present invention as a bag for collecting boidily fluids such as urine. The bag is adapted for use e.g. in connection with a catheter and is provided with supporting means allowing handling of a liquid-filled bag without squeezing the bag and thus without the risk of contaminating the surroundings. The bag is provided with a draining spout allowing the liquid-filled bag to be emptied without spillage.

  • Publication number: 20040039807
Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement and method for providing integration of different data relating to different services in a communication network with a plurality of service providers and service enablers. The system according to the invention provides a common subscriber/user database and subscriber/user data records with user and subscriber information. The subscriber/user data records comprise: at least one identification field identifying a subscriber and a user; and at least one service field specifying at least one selected service from the plurality of services provided in the service network, wherein the at least one selected service is selected by the user or subscriber. At least on of said at least one service field is provides links to affiliate data relating to the subscriber/user and which is stored outside of the common subscriber/user database.

  • Patent number: 6286042
Abstract: Management operations can be sent from a managing system to a number of managed systems over a management interface. Redundancy is provided through replicating a management operation in a first of managed systems and sending the operation to at least one further managed system. A method of replicating management operations is also provided according to which instance operations that correspond to a management operation are established. The method further includes, for each instance operation, examining if any replication conditions are given, and if such are fulfilled, replicating the operation and invoking it in a redundant system.
