  • Patent number: 11917331
Abstract: Techniques are provided herein for secure display device communications. In one example, a video communications device provides, to a display device over a first connection, communication information that enables the display device to contact a server over a second connection. The video communications device further provides, to the display device over the first connection, a command configured to initiate an interaction with the server. The server obtains, from the display device over the second connection, a message initiating the interaction in response to the command based on the communication information.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 29, 2022
Date of Patent: February 27, 2024
    Assignee: CISCO TECHNOLOGY, INC.

  • Patent number: 11374660
Abstract: In one example embodiment, a server obtains a labeled fingerprint of an ultrasound-capable client device. Based on the labeled fingerprint, the server determines that the ultrasound-capable client device is in physical proximity with a collaboration endpoint. The server subsequently obtains an unlabeled fingerprint of an ultrasound-incapable client device. Based on the unlabeled fingerprint and the labeled fingerprint, the server determines that the ultrasound-incapable client device is a meeting attendee device for a collaboration meeting to which the collaboration endpoint is connected. In response to determining that the ultrasound-incapable client device is the meeting attendee device for the collaboration meeting, the server connects the ultrasound-incapable client device to the collaboration endpoint.

  • Patent number: 7386781
Abstract: A method is presented comprising identifying a weak component in a wireless communication link, instructing a transmitter of the weak component to invoke repetition coding, and selectively combining signals received via multiple antennae on multiple channels to recover information contained in the transmitted signal.

  • Patent number: 7020107
Abstract: An embodiment of the invention provides a method for effecting switchback on a spatial division multiple access (SDMA) PHS channel. A communication signal is broadcast over each of one or more SDMA channels of a multi-access channel to one or more corresponding user terminals. A set of transmit spatial weights is determined for a synchronization burst to a user terminal attempting to reestablish communication over an SDMA channel of the multi-access channel. The set of transmit spatial weights is determined such that interference caused by one or more communication signals to the synchronization burst is reduced.

  • Patent number: 6894993
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention provide various methods for detecting a spatial division multiple access (SDMA) channel swap. A first SDMA communication channel is assigned to a first user terminal that initially transmits its signal over the first SDMA communication channel. A second SDMA communication channel is assigned to a second user terminal that initially transmits its signal over the second SDMA communication channel. The first user terminal's signal and the second user terminal's signal are analyzed to determine that the first user terminal is transmitting its signal over the second SDMA communication channel and the second user terminal is transmitting its signal over the first SDMA communication channel.
