  • Patent number: 12111333
Abstract: A sensor arrangement for position determination of a rail vehicle includes at least two sensors that can be attached to the rail vehicle. Each of the sensors is configured to ascertain a position speed and to be disposed on the rail vehicle at different positions transverse to the direction of travel. At least one processing apparatus which is connected to the sensors is configured to process the position speeds ascertained by the sensors. An apparatus for position determination of a rail vehicle, a rail vehicle, and a method for position determination for a rail vehicle are also provided.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 20, 2022
Date of Patent: October 8, 2024
    Assignee: Siemens Mobility GmbH

  • Patent number: 12037032
Abstract: A method detects systematic deviations during a determination of a movement variable of a ground-based, more particularly rail-based, vehicle. To optimize the operation of the vehicle, more particularly to minimize operational restrictions during operation of the vehicle, the method proposes that—based on a measurement value, assigned to a time, of at least one sensor, a value, assigned to the time, of the movement variable is determined and—subject to the value, assigned to the time, of the movement variable and a statistical sensor accuracy value, determined for this value, of the at least one sensor, a test variable value, assigned to the time, is formed and is compared in a comparison with a predefined test bound in order to make an assumption regarding an existence of a systematic deviation. The assumption is subject to a comparison result obtained from the comparison.

  • Publication number: 20230084387
Abstract: A measurement arrangement has a first satellite-based measurement facility, which works on the basis of signals of a first global satellite positioning system, for generating a first measured value, which indicates a location or a speed of the first measurement facility, and a measured value-based first accuracy value indicating the accuracy of the first measured value. A second satellite-based measurement facility is present, which works on the basis of signals of a second, different global satellite positioning system and serves for generating a second measured value, which indicates the location or the speed of the second measurement facility, and a second measured value-based accuracy value, which indicates the accuracy of the second measured value. The first and second satellite-based measurement facilities are connected to an evaluation facility, which carries out a plausibility check using the measured values and generates an error signal if the plausibility check delivers an implausible result.

  • Patent number: 10345259
Abstract: The present invention provides a method for the quantification of virus particles in a biological sample, comprising the steps of: (a) introducing said biological sample comprising virus particles into a capillary tube containing a buffer solution; (b) applying an electrical field to said capillary tube of sufficient voltage to allow for the separation of the virus particles from additional constituents in said sample, to obtain electrophoretical fractions; (c) generating an electropherogram associated with the electrophoretical fractions; and (d) determining the concentration of virus particles in said sample by comparing the electropherogram with an electropherogram generated from a reference sample containing a known concentration of said virus particles.
