    Abstract: The invention relates to a variable electrohydraulic valve controller, comprising a piston, which is arranged in such a way that the piston acts on a valve, particularly a gas exchange valve of an internal combustion engine, in order to actuate said valve, a valve hydraulic chamber bounded by said piston, and at least one piston-cylinder unit, which is connected to the valve hydraulic chamber by means of a hydraulic line in which a switching valve is arranged. According to the invention, the piston (14) of the piston-cylinder unit (14, 15) is driven by a drive. particularly a motor.
