  • Publication number: 20110116923
Abstract: The present invention relates to a blade for a rotor of a wind turbine, which rotor comprises a hub, from which hub at least one blade extends substantially radially, which blade comprises a root area closest to the hub, which blade comprises a transition area away from the hub, which blade further comprises at least a first airfoil. The scope of the invention can be fulfilled by blades comprising at least one longitudinal channel, which channel has an inlet opening in the front of the airfoil, which channel has an outlet opening at the backside of the air foil, which channel opening area is decreasing from the inlet opening to the outlet opening. Hereby, it is achieved that in the channel there is an increasing speed of the air which is flowing through that channel which will lead to increasing the power produced from the wind surrounding the blade.

  • Publication number: 20100288394
Abstract: A device for filling a container of a collapsible type with a liquid product, said container having two opposite side walls which abut flatly against each other in the state of the container before filling and which comprise opposite inlet portions, which are to be separated to open an inlet. The device comprises an opening for opening said inlet by separating said opposite inlet portions, and a filling nozzle, which is to be inserted in said inlet for supplying said product to said container. The device also comprises a nozzle for supplying a protective atmosphere to a volume defined by the open inlet. The invention also concerns methods of filling a container of a collapsible type.

  • Publication number: 20080000241
Abstract: The invention provides a refrigeration system with a compressing unit, and a method of controlling a refrigeration system. To facilitate a better control, the capacity of the compressing unit is controlled based on a predicted future cooling demand rather than an actually determined cooling demand. The invention further provides a system wherein a cost value for changing the cooling capacity of the system is taken into consideration.

  • Publication number: 20070249713
Abstract: The invention relates to compounds capable of inhibiting the visual cycle and/or dark adaptation and their use for treatment and prevention of non-degenerative retinal diseases with specific emphasis on the prevention and treatment of diabetic retinopathy, retinopathy of prematurity, branch retinal vein occlusion, central retinal vein occlusion, open-angle glaucoma, veovascular glaucoma, and other diseases of the retinal and/or optic nerve where an imbalance between metabolic demand and blood supply contribute to the development of tissue damage. The invention furthermore relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds.

  • Publication number: 20070130971
Abstract: A method of analyzing a refrigeration system (1) comprising at least one compressor (4), at least one condenser (5) and at least two refrigeration entities (2), each comprising at least one evaporator (9). Based on information relating to the gas production by the evaporators (9) it is determined whether or not two or more evaporators (9) are running in a synchronized manner, i.e. are switching between an active and an inactive state at least substantially simultaneously. In case two or more evaporators (9) are running in a synchronized manner, the refrigeration system (1) may be controlled in order to desynchronize the evaporators (9). This may, e.g., be done by changing a cut-in temperature and/or a cut-out temperature for one of the corresponding refrigeration entities (2). Synchronization causes undesired variations in the suction pressure, and preventing synchronization therefore results in a more appropriate control of the refrigeration system (1). Reduces wear on the compressors (4).

  • Publication number: 20060243680
Abstract: Rack systems are provided for use in mounting or positioning of electronic components and other equipment. The disclosed rack systems that are seismically sound and adapted for packaging/shipment in a disassembled condition. The rack systems include at least one upright, a base assembly and a top frame assembly. The base assembly includes a base unit, at least one internal upright brace and at least one external upright brace. The base assembly defines a bounded region for receipt of an upright. Similarly, the top frame assembly defines a bounded region for receipt of the opposite end of the upright. When assembled at a desired location, the disclosed rack systems comply with applicable seismic-related design and performance parameters, including specifically the Zone 4 standard, and accommodate desirable cable management functions.

  • Publication number: 20060086054
Abstract: Methods for mounting, opening, closing and releasing a door assembly relative to a mounting structure employ a first structure that defines at least one elongated guide channel and a latching subassembly that is adapted to be mounted with respect to the foregoing guide channel(s) and to rotate with respect thereto. Rotation of the latching subassembly with respect to the guide channel(s) allows a latching region, e.g., a V-shaped latching region, to move between a first position (wherein the latching region is adapted to receive the mounting structure) and a second position (wherein the latching region cannot receive the mounting structure). In the second position, the latching region (in combination with the guide channel) is structured to capture the mounting structure (e.g., a projection associated with a cable management system) therewithin.

  • Publication number: 20050185912
Abstract: An angled patch panel is provided that is configured to be mounted to a rack or console. The angled patch panel facilitates cable management functions and enhances space utilization at and around the rack/patch panel assembly. The angled patch panel includes first and second patch panel elements that are angularly oriented with respect to each other. The transition from the first patch panel element to the second patch panel element is generally achieved in an apex region. The angled patch panel also includes flange members that extend from the first and second patch panel elements. Each of the flange members define a mounting face and an extension arm that is intermediate the mounting face and the patch panel element. The extension arm is dimensioned to facilitate at least partial recessing of the angled patch panel relative to the rack/console when the angled patch panel is mounted thereto.
