  • Patent number: 11656694
Abstract: Disclosed are computer peripheral interface devices (such as computer mice) that include a wheel member configured to rotate around an axis in a plurality of modes, where each of the plurality of modes corresponds to a respective unique friction profile. The plurality of operation modes includes a freewheel mode and at least two additional modes. The at least two additional modes includes two or more different ratchet modes, two or more different constant friction modes, or at least one constant friction mode and at least one ratchet mode. The interface device also includes an actuator assembly configured to set the wheel member to each of the plurality of operation modes.

  • Publication number: 20210137262
Abstract: An ergonomic keyboard apparatus comprising a keyboard frame including an ergonomic contour defined in part by a gabled portion of the keyboard frame that is pitched into a contoured peak that forms a first slope and a second slope on either side of the keyboard frame. A plurality of keys are disposed within the keyboard frame such that key tops of each of the plurality of keys follow the ergonomic contour of the keyboard frame. A wrist pad coupled to the keyboard frame has a gabled center portion and a surface contour that corresponds to the ergonomic contour of the keyboard frame defined by its gabled portion, first slope, and second slope. Each location along at least a portion of the surface contour of the wrist pad is elevated to at least a height of corresponding key tops of the plurality of keys.

  • Patent number: 10365730
Abstract: Certain embodiments include a computer mouse including a housing having a bottom surface and a trackball disposed in the housing, where the bottom surface of the housing includes a first planar region, a second planar region, and a spine both common to and dividing the first and second planar regions. The first and second planar regions can be on different planes, where, when in operation, the computer mouse is configured to rest on a work surface, when the computer mouse is configured such that the first planar region of the bottom surface is parallel to the work surface, the computer mouse is tilted at a first angle relative to the work surface, and when the computer mouse is configured such that the second planar region of the bottom surface is parallel to the work surface, the computer mouse is tilted at a second angle relative to the work surface.
