  • Patent number: 9965721
Abstract: Disclosed is a computer-implemented method of generating a plurality of selectable design experiments in a design of experiments (DOE) process for analyzing at least one data set from a process to determine a relationship of a plurality of process factors of interest to a process output of interest. The method entails receiving as user input into a computing apparatus, a base number of trials and a number of center point trials. From the computing apparatus, a graphical user interface is generated on a display connected with the computing apparatus. This includes presenting a display containing a plurality of experiment each defined, at least partially, by a combination of number of replicates (replicates count) and effect size. The display further includes a predicted power value for each combination of replicates count and effect size.

  • Publication number: 20150082224
Abstract: Disclosed is a computer-implemented method of project mapping on a graphical user interface. A computer display of a computing apparatus is provided and configured to present a graphical user interface containing a plurality of graphical objects controllable by a controller (of the computing apparatus). Using at least one stored data set as input variables, a data analysis function is initiated to generate a graphical element output. A stored study object is also generated, which corresponds to the graphical element display and identified with the data analysis function and the at least one stored data set, whereby the stored study object is controller engageable to regenerate the graphical element display on the user interface.

  • Publication number: 20140282188
Abstract: A computing system is disclosed having one or more processors, a display, and a memory coupled to the one or more processors. In this computing system, the memory stores program instructions executable by the one or more processors to display a graphical user interface on the display. The graphical user interface includes at least one user interface data object associated with a stored data set and displaying visual attributes corresponding to properties of the data set, including an attribute corresponding to data type.

  • Publication number: 20070116215
Abstract: A method for measuring and reducing the cost of complexity in producing products or providing a service by comparing selected non-value added steps in the manufacturing or service process with the number of different products or services provided, so as to provide the non-value added cost of the product or service for various selected complexities. The number of products required to be processed or held in inventory for a particular demand, or the number of different specific services required for a particular demand of the service is determined by comparing the number of different product part numbers, or service categories offered, with selected non-value added steps in the respective processes. Mathematical analyses are derived from equations of motion of process improvement including the first derivative of process velocity.
