Abstract: An isolated horse allergen is disclosed which is a secretoglobin having a molecular weight of 15 kDa under non-reducing conditions and comprising a first peptide chain having a molecular weight of about 5 kDa and a second peptide chain having a molecular weight of about 10 kDa linked together, and variants and fragments thereof sharing epitopes for antibodies therewith. The use of the allergen in diagnosis and therapy is also disclosed as well as a diagnostic kit and a pharmaceutical composition containing the allergen.

Abstract: The present invention refers to the field of allergy. More specifically, the invention relates to the identification of new allergens from mammals and to diagnosis and treatment of allergy towards mammals. In particular the invention relates to a recombinantly produced canine allergen, Can f 4, or bovine allergen, Bos d 23k, or variants or fragments thereof sharing epitopes with the wildtype allergen, and the use thereof for the manufacture of a diagnostic composition as well as methods for in vitro diagnosis and treatment of allergy.

Abstract: A container mixer typically comprises a mixer inside a container tank. The mixer comprises a shaft and blades mounted on the shaft, an actuator positioned outside the container tank, and a coupler with which the mixer is coupled to the actuator. The container tank has a quick coupling which enables the actuator to be detached temporarily from the container tank. The quick coupling comprises a separate shaft coupling piece, detachable when necessary, fitted between the actuator drive shaft and the mixer shaft in such a way that the motion of the actuator is transmitted by transmission of the shaft coupling piece to the mixer shaft. In addition the quick coupling has quick coupling and quick-release devices which lock the shaft coupling piece between the drive shaft and the mixer shaft.

The incontinence pouch has an outer liquid-proof polyethylene layer. A soft fibrous nonwoven material is attached to the polyethylene layer. An inner liquid-permeable material is applied to the nonwoven material. An absorption layer is disposed between the polyethylene layer and the liquid-permeable material to form a laminate. An edge portion of the liquid-permeable material is attached to another edge portion of the liquid-permeable material so that the cavity is formed therebetween at an upper side surface of the incontinence pouch. The laminate in folded inwardly along a cross-folding line so that a side wall is formed.

Abstract: A device for collecting and absorbing urine, comprising a laminate composed of several layers, in which an outer plastic casing in combination with a material permeable to urine form a space enclosing an absorption body. The absorption body includes at least one super-absorbent laminate which may be a tissue integrated with a super-absorbent polymer and which upon absorption forms a gel. The space surrounding the absorption body is designed to permit expansion when the absorption body assumes the gel phase.
