Abstract: A system and method for displaying information on mobile devices via a user interface (UI) includes an overlay structure on top of an application or web page which shows content related to a product or service. The overlay structure on top of an application or web page showing content related to the promoted product enables user action such as purchasing the product or service without taking the user away from the original view used for accessing the information.

Abstract: A method for determining item specific user interest includes rendering a tag on top of a content item of a website, activating an e-commerce application from the tag related to the content item, and rendering a second item related to the content item on the e-commerce application. The method also includes monitoring one or more actions performed by the user related to the item on the e-commerce application. The method further includes assigning scores to the one or more actions performed by the user related to the item. In addition, the method includes determining a level of interest value of the user for the item based on scores assigned to the one or more actions.

Abstract: The aspects of the disclosed embodiment provide a method and system for user-controlled rendering of mobile advertisements and for context based targeting of content to users. The method includes collecting information associated with location of a user and content displayed on a user device. One or more relevant advertisements are identified based on the information which is collected from the user device. An option to view the one or more relevant advertisements is displayed on the user device. The relevant advertisement(s) are displayed on the user device when the user selects the option to view the advertisement. The method further includes identifying an element of a web page for targeting one or more content on the element. Additionally the method further includes identifying one or more characteristics of the element, wherein the one or more characteristics are identified for determining a context of the element.

Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are concerned with showing information such as advertisements in website pictures. Advertisements are shown in web site as some of the embedded pictures in the web site are hovered. According to embodiments advertisements can be related to content of such hovered pictures such as products shown in the pictures.
