  • Patent number: 11072385
Abstract: Method for the producing of an extruded frame element with battery pack profile for use in a bicycle frame comprising a plurality of frame elements, where the frame elements are interconnected and constitute a structure with such great rigidity that the bicycle frame under ordinary loading does not change its geometrical shape, wherein the at least one frame element is extruded with variable material thicknesses in a given cross sectional profile, and a recess is made in the at least one extruded frame element, as well as a bicycle frame comprising such a frame element, wherein a stable bicycle frame with sufficient strength is achieved, and wherein the bicycle frame becomes as discreet as possible.

  • Patent number: 9334019
Abstract: A vehicle with a driveshaft transmission system having a driveshaft and a hub at a wheel of the vehicle, a battery pack and an electric motor for propelling the vehicle arranged at the driveshaft as well as a driveshaft transmission system. The electric motor can be a motor of the external rotor type having an inner stator part and an outer rotor part, the inner stator part having a central passage for the driveshaft. The driveshaft transmission system has an auxiliary motor with a planetary gear and a one-way overrunning clutch, the one-way overrunning clutch and the planetary gear being arranged between the driveshaft and the rotor part.

  • Patent number: 7934576
Abstract: The present invention concerns a bicycle frame, including a number of frame elements, preferably tubes, where the frame elements are interconnected and constitute a construction with so great rigidity that the cycle frame does not change its geometrical shape under usual load, where an electric battery system is at least partly embedded in the frame, including at least one battery pack for storing electric energy for use in connection with equipment, such as comfort equipment and/or safety equipment on a bicycle, including an electric auxiliary motor, where the part of the frame adapted to mounting a battery pack is constituted by a hollow section, the hollow section being a multiple chamber section, where a battery pack is predominantly arranged in a cutout in the multiple chamber section so that at least one chamber in the multiple chamber section is substantially intact. Thus is obtained a cycle frame with a cutout for a battery pack, where the frame has great rigidity.

  • Publication number: 20100007305
Abstract: The present invention concerns a battery system including at least one battery unit for storing electric energy for use in connection with equipment, such as comfort equipment and/or safety equipment on a vehicle, preferably on a bicycle, as well as a bicycle with such a battery system. The new feature of a battery unit according to the invention is that the exterior of the battery unit is shaped as a seat, preferably a bicycle seat, where the battery unit at least comprises a number of interconnected battery cells, at least one terminal for connecting to equipment and/or charging the battery, and where the battery unit includes at least one outer casing which constitutes the surface of the seat.
