  • Patent number: 10991354
Abstract: A hull-fitted electronic device (2) for a vessel is provided. The hull-fitted electronic device is adapted to be attached to a seat (10) having a through hole (11), the seat being attachable to a hull (20) of the vessel such that the through hole of the seat is aligned with a through hole (12) of the hull. The hull-fitted electronic device comprises a transducer (16) adapted to generate a signal to be transmitted into the water outside the hull, and a housing (14) encapsulating the transducer and having a lower portion (3) and a flange portion (4). The lower portion and at least the portion of the flange portion located closest to the lower portion are covered by a surface (5) of a material (17) being watertight and transparent to the signal generated by the transducer. A portion of the surface forms a window (13) of the housing arranged to transmit the signal of the transducer.

  • Patent number: 7007779
Abstract: An electromagnetic brake assembly has a brake shoe) movable between a first position at which it is located in a braking engagement with a movable surface and a second position at which it is located out of braking engagement with the movable surface. An electromagnet is energizable to bias the shoe to one or other of the first and the second positions and a power supply is provided having a direct current source for supplying a direct current flow to energize the electromagnet. The power supply further has an alternating current source that provides an alternating current flow through the electromagnet with a successively decreasing amplitude characteristic, after interruption of the direct current flow.

  • Patent number: 6105174
Abstract: The male incontinence pouch allows the user to determine for himself whether he wishes to apply the pouch around the penis only or the penis and scrotum. The incontinence pouch has an outer liquid-proof polyethylene layer. A soft fibrous nonwoven material is attached to the polyethylene layer. An inner liquid-permeable material is applied to the nonwoven material. An absorption layer is disposed between the polyethylene layer and the liquid-permeable material to form a laminate. An edge portion of the liquid-permeable material is attached to another edge portion of the liquid-permeable material so that a cavity is formed therebetween at a short side surface of the incontinence pouch. The laminate is folded inwardly along a main folding line so that a side wall is formed, the side wall has an inside and an outside so that the inside has an outer base line and the short side surface has an inner base line.

  • Patent number: 5912803
Abstract: The present invention relates to a heat dissipating box for a printed board assembly (PBA) using natural convection for cooling. The PBA 64 is fastened between a first part 62 and a second part 61 and the joint is sealed with an elastic material 71. A back plane, which has an opening for a connector of the PBA, is mounted to the other two parts to prevent undesirable substances to get inside the box. The heat dissipating property of the PBA, mounted inside a box, increases rapidly if the PBA's heat dissipating components are placed near or in good thermal contact with the box. This can be obtained by placing bumps, for example supports 66, 68 or ridges 65, on the inside of the box, which are in close contact with the PBA. The surface area of the box may also be enlarged with cooling fins.
