Abstract: A camera includes a central processing unit which determines the exposure of the film in accordance with the zone method. A light measuring device, a diaphragm data device, a maneuverable film sensitivity switch, and a development type switch generate the data signals necessary for determining the exposure. A zone selection device and a reference point selector are also provided. The camera user selects a reference portion of the photographic subject, which is seen in a viewfinder, by means of the reference point selector and, by means of the zone selection device, chooses which zone the reference portion is to be represented by on the film. The central processing unit calculates the necessary shutter speed in accordance with the choice of the user and shows the result on a display. The zone in which an arbitrary comparison portion of the photographic subject would be represented is determined and shown on the display.
