  • Patent number: 10889256
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for controlling a plurality of components of a vehicle that are configured to emit heat when activated. A controller receives heat demand information about the activated components and determines from the heat demand information, an amount of power available for consumption by all of the activated components. The controller actively allocates power between the activated components according to the determined amount of power available such that an actual amount of power consumed by all of the activated components does not exceed the determined amount of power available.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 11, 2018
Date of Patent: January 12, 2021
    Assignee: Kongsberg Automotive AB

  • Patent number: 9981578
Abstract: A vehicle assembly and method for allocating power in the same is disclosed. A plurality of vehicle seats each have heating zones disposed in cushion and back seating surfaces of the vehicle seats. A controller controls power to the heating zones. At least two of the heating zones are activated such that the heating zones emit heat. Heat demand information associated with the activated healing zones is generated. The generated heat demand information is provided to the controller. The controller is utilized to determine an amount of power available for consumption by all of the activated heating zones using the heat demand information. The controller actively allocates power between the activated heating zones according to the determined amount of power available such that an actual amount of power consumed by all of the activated heating zones does not exceed the determined amount of power available.

  • Patent number: 9078291
Abstract: A vehicle seat having a first temperature control unit and a second temperature control unit. Each control unit has power-input terminals for receiving power from a vehicle electrical power system and power-output terminals. The first control unit has a logic part for comparing received temperature selection and temperature measurement values along with a first pulse generator connected to a first output terminal of the logic part and a second pulse generator connected to a second output terminal of the logic part as well as a first switch unit coupled to the first pulse generator. The second temperature control unit includes a second switch unit coupled to the second pulse generator. First and second heating elements are coupled to the temperate control units. An occupant switch is coupled to the first temperate control unit. A first temperature sensor monitors the thermal output of the first heating element.

  • Patent number: 6418219
Abstract: An address registration device is used in a telecommunications network in which subscribers are connected to remote subscriber stages, RSSs. The RSSs are connected to local exchanges. The address registration device includes a first table providing information about the RSS to which each subscriber is connected, and a second table providing information about the local exchange to which each RSS is connected. To move an RSS with all subscribers connected to it, from a local exchange to another, the table entry for this RSS in the second table is changed. The address registration device may be included in a supervision node monitoring the state of the local exchanges to moves an RSS from one local exchange to another automatically when needed.
