    Abstract: A cage nut assembly is provided for retaining a nut within a cage's nut capture region defined by a base with a hole substantially in its center, two lateral truss integral with the base and perpendicular to each other, and two upwardly extending arms also integral with the base. The two upwardly extending arms form a C-shaped head at the distal end that extend over the nut capture region. Thus a nut disposed in said cage is substantially flush with the base of said cage. A multiple cage nut assembly is provided for retaining a nut within cage's plurality of nut capture regions. One such nut capture region being defined by a base with a hole substantially in its center, two lateral truss integral with the base and perpendicular to each other, and two upwardly extending arms also integral with the base. The two upwardly extending arms form a C-shaped head at the distal end that extend over the nut capture region. Thus a nut disposed in said cage is substantially flush with the base of said cage.

Each latching region includes one or more latching members having surfaces for engaging a railing of a rack. At least one pair of latching members includes an angled stepped surface configured to engage railings of different thicknesses.

The patch panel rack may be mounted to a cable management pathway substantially above a telecommunications cabinet to allow cables passing therebetween to maintain a desired bend radius.

The disclosed rack systems that are seismically sound and adapted for packaging/shipment in a disassembled condition. The base assembly includes a base unit, at least one internal upright brace and at least one external upright brace. The base assembly defines a bounded region for receipt of an upright. Similarly, the top frame assembly defines a bounded region for receipt of the opposite end of the upright. When assembled at a desired location, the disclosed rack systems comply with applicable seismic-related design and performance parameters, including specifically the Zone 4 standard, and accommodate desirable cable management functions.

A cabinet adapted to enclose the support frame includes walls defining a cavity. Thus, the cables/cords received through the elongated channel are arranged relative to a plane in-line with the exhausting airflow.

    Abstract: Assemblies and methods for mounting a patch panel rack to a cable management pathway are provided. A typical assembly includes a patch panel rack adapted to host a plurality of ports. The patch panel rack is mounted onto two mounting brackets. The mounting brackets are mounted onto a cable management pathway. A cable management pathway is typically a wire raceway or a ladder rack. A waterfall adapted to guide telecommunication cables to desired destinations and also maintain a desired bend radius, is connected to a front face of the patch panel rack. The patch panel rack and the mounting brackets typically define a plurality of apertures adapted to adjustably mount each component respectively. In an exemplary embodiment, the patch panel rack and the mounting brackets define a substantially vertical slot adapted to adjustably mount each component respectively. U bolts are typically used to structurally secure the mounting bracket to the cable management pathway.
