  • Publication number: 20200052375
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a converter device which has a housing that can be installed into a motor vehicle. The converter device is designed to adapt an impedance of an external antenna which can be positioned outside of the housing to an impedance of at least one additional electric device via a conversion path such that a specified impedance is provided at an electric converter output. An antenna device which is independent of the conversion path is integrated into the housing of the converter device, said antenna device providing a Bluetooth and/or WLAN connection to a device, and at least one antenna device connection which is electrically connected to the antenna device is provided on the housing of the converter device as the electric output and/or electric input of the antenna device. The disclosure additionally relates to a motor vehicle comprising a converter device.

  • Patent number: 10270178
Abstract: A motor vehicle includes an outer plate, formed from an electrically conductive material, which delimits an interior of the motor vehicle from an environment, and an antenna arrangement for exchanging electromagnetic radio waves with at least one object in the environment. The antenna arrangement has a predetermined directional characteristic and a control circuit operates the antenna arrangement at a predetermined operating frequency interval. The antenna arrangement includes at least one slot antenna provided in the outer plate as a respective slot.

  • Patent number: 9966645
Abstract: A switching apparatus alternately connects a mobile radio module and an E-Call controller to an antenna/ The switching apparatus includes a first signal input, a second signal input, an antenna connection and a changeover device that changes between a first switching state and a second switching state, based on at least one switching signal. In the first switching state, only the first signal input is electrically connected to the antenna connection, and in the second switching state, only the second signal input is electrically connected to the antenna connection. To prevent a connected transmission devices from diagnosing decoupling from the antenna connection as a fault, in at least the second switching state the changeover device electrically connects the signal input that is decoupled from the antenna connection to a terminating device which emulates an antenna at the signal input that is connected to the terminating device.
