  • Patent number: 7137402
Abstract: An oil deaeration device includes a base and an oil housing, the base being equipped with a first and a second inlet, an outlet, a float provided in the oil housing and a diaphragm provided in the oil housing. The oil housing is divided into two chambers, the float is provided in a first chamber, and a further float is provided in a second chamber. It is significant for the oil deaeration device that the diaphragm on one side is connected to the first chamber, that the diaphragm on its other side is connected to the second chamber, that a safety valve is provided in connection with the outlet, and that the safety valve communicates with the outlet in its open position.

  • Publication number: 20050115608
Abstract: The present invention relates to an oil deaeration device (10) that comprises a base (11) and an oil housing (26), said base (11) being equipped with a first and a second inlet (12, 14), an outlet (13), a float (35) provided in the oil housing (26) and a diaphragm (18) provided in the oil housing (26), that the oil housing (26) is divided into two chambers (29, 30), that the float (35) is provided in a first chamber (29), and that a further float (39) is provided in a second chamber (30). It is significant for the oil deaeration device that the diaphragm (1x8) on one side is connected to the first chamber (29), that the diaphragm (18) on its other side is connected to the second chamber (30), that a safety valve (50, 51; 150, 151) is provided in connection with the outlet (13), and that the safety valve (50, 51; 150, 151) communicates with the outlet (13) in its open position.

  • Patent number: 6796167
Abstract: A method and a device for indication of leakage in a liquid system, includes liquid lines and a liquid filter that consists of a non-transparent upper portion (3) having flow paths (5, 6) for the supply of liquid to the filter and discharge of liquid from the filter, and a transparent lower portion (4) having a transparent casing (7) and a filter unit (11) positioned inside the casing (7). It is significant for the device that an indicating channel (27) is connected to the inlet flow path (5), the indicating channel (27) extending below the upper portion (3) and having an outlet opening (31) that emerges in the lower portion (4) and being arranged to discharge supplied liquid so as to be visible to a person's eye and also visually indicate gas bubbles/air bubbles (39) that possibly are present.

  • Patent number: 5937830
Abstract: The invention relates to a fuel cooler for increasing the output of a diesel engine installed primarily in motor boats. A fuel line (10,15) is provided upstream of the fuel supply pump (16). A fuel oil cooler (5) is connected into the fuel line (10, 15) and is mounted on the existing sea water pump (8) of the engine in lieu of the ordinary pump cover. The fuel oil flowing through the fuel oil cooler (5) is cooled by the cooling water circulating in the pump (8). A further increase in output of the engine is achieved by installing an oil deaerator (11) upstream of the fuel oil cooler (5).

  • Patent number: 5524661
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for blocking fluid in a pipe 1 onto which a positioning unit 2 is hermetically mounted and through which a hole is drilled in the pipe while maintaining a hermetic seal. An expandable body 8 is inserted into the pipe with the aid of a blocking implement 7 enclosed in support tube 9. The expandable body is expanded to temporarily block the flow of fluid in the pipe. The support tube has a supporting structure for supporting the expandable body against the flow of fluid during insertion into the pipe, after insertion, during expansion and after expansion. The support structure increases the capability of the expanded body to withstand the high pressure of the fluid.

  • Patent number: 5400814
Abstract: A device blocks the flow of fluid in a pipe so that work can be done on the pipe downstream of the device. The device includes an installation unit and a blocking unit. The installation unit is sealed against the ambient when mounted on the pipe to permit drilling a hole into the pipe and the blocking unit includes an expandable body which is passed through the installation unit and on through the hole in order to temporarily block the flow of fluid in the pipe. The expandable body has a larger diameter than the internal diameter of a channel in the installation unit. The blocking unit includes a rod mounted in the holder to which a manual force is applied for distending the expandable body before insertion so that the expandable body has a diameter less than the diameters of both the channel and the hole thereby facilitating passage of the expandable body through the channel and hole into the pipe.

  • Patent number: 5259871
Abstract: The invention is directed to a deaeration device for oil supply installations for oil-fired boilers and similar plant equipment. The deaeration device includes a deaeration valve and a float which is made to float even in severely foaming oil by partially supporting its weight on a spring element. This ensures that the float will close the deaeration valve and prevent oil leakage.
