  • Patent number: 6401303
Abstract: A fleece funnel is provided which is placed at a predetermined distance behind the output rolls of the stretch works of a textile machine, particularly a carding machine. The longitudinal side of the funnel is laterally closed by a baffle plate. The baffle plate borders a bulged impact plates, which, at the deepest part of the bulge possess an outlet opening for the reception of a funnel duct. The impact plates form an intersection line with a ramp located oppositely to the baffle plate. On the impact plate from any optional point of the intersection line, a decline is defined to the exit-opening of the funnel.

  • Patent number: 6336256
Abstract: The object of the invention is to facilitate the entry of a fiber band into a drawing machine. The invention is comprised of a fiber band insertion apparatus having a combination condenser and guide device with a longitudinal slot extending over its entire length. The guide device is followed by roll pair, which, at least during the laying in of the fiber band, has an accessible entry opening. This opening is at least partially formed by a recess in at least one of the opposed sides of the roll pair. The recess is separated by a flange on one of the circumferential rim surfaces which are mutually profiled to provide space for a compression line for the fiber band. The entry opening of the roll pair and/or feeders, as well as the entry slot of the condenser are, essentially, arranged in a common plane. With the aid of the invented apparatus, the fiber band is laid into the band entry device by a movement transverse to the normal transport direction of the fiber band when the drawing machine is running.

  • Patent number: 6282755
Abstract: In a process for feeding of textile fibers supplied from a point of delivery of a textile machine to a drafting equipment which continues to process the fibers, the fibers supplied from the point of delivery are formed into a fiber sliver. They are then conveyed in the form of the fiber sliver to a drafting equipment which continues to process the fiber sliver, whereby the fibers are conveyed at least in the area before the drafting equipment by a feed mechanism and are introduced by same into the drafting equipment. In a textile machine to carry out the process, the feed mechanism is provided with a conveying channel which is located between the point of delivery and the input area of the drafting equipment and which conveys the fiber sliver. The conveying channel reaches up to the input area of the drafting equipment. The feed mechanism is provided with a drive arrangement for the conveying of the fiber sliver in the conveying channel.

  • Patent number: 6219886
Abstract: A stretched fiber band is deposited in a can, located in the filling station of a can exchanger of a draw frame, by means of a turntable. The rotational axis of the turntable exhibits an equal to or less than distance from the rotational axis of the can exchanger than the distance from the center point of the can found in the filling station to the rotational axis of the exchanger. Upon the substitution of the filled can by an empty can held in a ready-state position, the operation of the can exchanger on the rotation of the turntable is designed in such a manner, that the fiber band is deposited into the full can exiting the filling station, until this can leaves the zone of the turntable. The fiber band is then deposited into the empty can which has been brought into the filling station II, as soon as this empty can reaches the zone of the turntable.

  • Patent number: 5685047
Abstract: An apparatus for precisely orienting working elements, such as carding elements, to a rotating fiber-opening roller, such as a licker-in, with regard to both distancing and centering without necessitating complex adjustment mechanisms. The working element is precisely positioned by virtue of respective abutting engagement surfaces of the axle boxes or roller retainers and the carrier of the working elements.

  • Patent number: 5471710
Abstract: An apparatus for attaching working elements, such as carding elements, to a rotating fiber-opening roller, such as a licker-in, wherein the working element is attached on the axle boxes or retainers of the roller by means of an end cap at least partially encompassing the axle boxes or axle retainers.
