  • Publication number: 20250137430
Abstract: A bottom-hinged wave energy converter is provided including a foundation defining an apparent foundation weight; a power converter connected to the foundation, the power converter including a crank; a flap arm including along an arm axis a crank end connected to the crank and a flap end; a flap including a flap bottom connected to the flap end, and a flap top adapted to be at or near an ocean surface during use, the flap including a substantially circular or elliptic flap cross-section in a cross-section plane substantially perpendicular to the arm axis, which flap cross-section is constant between or increases between the flap bottom and the flap top thereby defining a flap buoyancy, wherein the apparent foundation weight being lesser or greater than the flap buoyancy.

  • Publication number: 20180171486
Abstract: An anode clamp assembly for attachment to a submerged structure is described. The anode is used for corrosion protection. The assembly comprises an elongate bar shaped or cylindrical anode arranged on a rod having rod ends extending from each end of the anode and clamps being attached to the rod ends. The assembly is easy to use and is suitable for being attached to a submerged structure by means of a Remote Operated Vehicle having a simple construction. Each clamp comprises two first legs having an intermediate bore arranged for rotation around a first rotation axis defined by the rod ends. Each of said first legs at a first end is provided with a griping jaw for attachment to a part connected to the structure and at a second end is hinged connected to a second leg via first hinges having a second rotation axis. The second legs are hinged to each other via a second hinge having a third rotation axis for forming an over-centre acting knee joint together with the two first legs.

  • Publication number: 20180148147
Abstract: A system with an underwater vehicle for installation and de-installation of buoys (9) under sea level (6). The vehicle (10) comprises a buoyancy adjustment system (19) for continuously adjusting the buoyancy of the vehicle (10) during underwater operation. A gripper (24) is connected to the vehicle frame (10?) by an orientation adjustment mechanism (29, 30, 31) for adjusting the gripper (24) orientation when installing a buoy (9) onto a flexible underwater line or for deinstalling the buoy (9) therefrom. The vehicle (10) further comprises a controller for manoeuvring and operation.
