    Abstract: The invention relates to a method of downloading at least one digital file from a digital network using at least one server and an external device, which are connected to the network. The method includes the steps of downloading the digital file through an external device and displaying an advertisement. The step of displaying the advertisement takes place during the downloading step and the advertisement is not integrated into the download digital file and is streamed over the network. Furthermore, the method uses a mechanism for blocking the digital files.
