  • Publication number: 20180249957
Abstract: A monitoring device suitable for attachment to a surface of a subject, the device having a data collector and a processor. The data collector includes a flexible foil attached to a less flexible socket, where the foil forms a dermal side surface of the data collector for adhesion to a skin surface of a subject to be monitored. To enable communication of electrical signals between the data collector and the processor, the data collector includes a distribution structure formed as a pattern of an electrically conductive material on an outer surface of a foldable sheet. The foldable sheet forms a layer in the flexible foil and having an interface portion which is folded into an aperture in the socket to form a coupling inside the cavity for electrical communication with a matching coupling of the processor when the processor is received in the cavity.

  • Patent number: 8409656
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a coated needle electrode comprising the steps 5 of holding an uncoated sharpened needle by the tip, dipping the uncoated sharpened needle into a bath of coating material, and withdrawing the sharpened needle from the bath of coating material. In this way, the coating can be applied after the needle has been sharpened thereby allowing more precision during the sharpening process. The invention also provides an apparatus for use with the method.

  • Publication number: 20120323105
Abstract: An applicator (1) for applying an article (2) to the skin (3) of a patient comprising a liner (4), an article carrying layer (5) and an applicator layer (6), and where the article carrying layer (5) has a bottom (7) and a top (8) surface, both being delimited by the periphery (9) of the carrying layer (5), and where the bottom surface (7) comprises an article carrying area (10), where the article (2) is fixed to the carrying layer (5), and an adhesive area (11) being releasably adhered to a surface (12) on the liner (4) by means of a first adhesive, and where the applicator layer (6) has a surface (13) being releasably adhered to only a first part (14) of the top surface (8) of the article carrying layer (5) and its periphery (9), by means of a second adhesive, and where the first and the second adhesives are selected so that, when the applicator layer (6) is pulled away from the liner (4) in an area where the applicator layer (6) and the second adhesive covers the first part of the periphery of the article c
