  • Publication number: 20240068855
Abstract: A flow meter (1) includes a flow tube (3) and sensors (19a, 19b), that generate signals for measuring a fluid flow through the flow tube. An electronics housing (5) accommodates a battery (23) and a printed circuit board, PCB (15). The PCB is equipped with electronics. A pair of elongate connector elements (29) electrically connect axial end contacts (27) of the battery with the PCB for powering the electronics and/or sensors by the battery. The battery is arranged at a distance (D3) to the PCB. The pair of elongate connector elements includes a first end section (31), connected to the PCB, a contact section (33), connected to one of the end contacts of the battery, and a second end section (35). The electronics housing includes inward protrusions. The second end sections of the pair of elongate connector elements abut axially against the inward protrusions to fix the battery axially.

  • Patent number: 11450865
Abstract: A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell stack formed from a plurality of cell units, which have gas diffusion layers, wherein the gas diffusion layer of at least one of the edge cell units has a heat transfer mechanism of reduced efficiency in comparison with the gas diffusion layer of a cell unit from the middle of the fuel cell stack. A motor vehicle may include such a fuel cell system.

  • Publication number: 20220190354
Abstract: A method for the production of an electrode for a fuel cell is provided that comprises providing a multitude of catalyst particles carried on at least one electrically conductive particle carrier, and depositing one or more atomic or molecular layers of an ionomer from the gas phase on the catalyst particles and/or the at least one particle carrier, thereby forming a proton-conducting ionomer coating. Furthermore, an electrode for a fuel cell is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11245124
Abstract: A diagnostic system for determining the cathode gas quality of a fuel cell system has a fuel cell stack, with a diagnostic fuel cell which can be connected at the cathode side to a cathode supply line and at the anode side to an anode supply line of the fuel cell system. The diagnostic system furthermore comprises a detection unit which is configured to detect a measured value or the measured value time curve of the diagnostic fuel cell operating with the cathode gas provided via the cathode supply line and with the anode gas provided via the anode supply line. The present disclosure moreover relates to a fuel cell system having a diagnostic system, and to a corresponding method.
