    Abstract: A binocular display device comprises a head-mounted supporting frame and two image display blocks arranged below eye level, said blocks comprising a display and a magnifying optical system. The device further comprises a case arranged above eye level, a transversal console arranged below eye level, said consol projecting from the central plane of the head, wherein said blocks are fixed to the end portions of the console, a bridging element adapted to rigidly connect a bottom central part of the case to a central part of the console, said bridging element being arranged between the eyes and extending immediately adjacent the head and leaning, at its lower end, directly or indirectly against the nose ridge. The device further comprises a video signal source arranged in the case, and a plurality of wires extending from the video signal source through the bridging element and the console to the displays.

The essence of the invention is that the device comprises optical elements dividing the beam starting from the screen (4) or image into beam branches, and directing the beam branches towards the eyes of a user of the device; optical elements reflecting the beam branches into the pupils (14,15); and focusing elements arranged between the reflecting optical elements and the pupils, and/or between the dividing optical elements and the reflecting optical elements.

    Abstract: Object of invention is such an appliance which is suitable for stereoscopic displaying of video images. It is wearable on head having a common stiff frame with two video image displays built in it; then an optical system, containing lenses and mirrors or prisms, is located, arranged symmetrically. Video image diplays (1), e.g. cathode ray tubes, while wearing on head, are located near the temples; in front of the screen (3) there is a mirror or a prism having reflecting surface, having of 45.degree.-75.degree. angles with the plain of the screen on two sides symetrically fitting into optical train between the screen (3) and the concerned pupil, then a lense or lense-system (8), then there is a reflecting mirror (7) having the area not greater than that of the average pupil, in front of the pupils (5), fixing of this mirror (7) is made of transparent material or is covered.
