  • Publication number: 20080271386
Abstract: The present invention relates to a High-voltage mast for supporting a number of conductors, comprising an upright, one or more crossarms fixable to the upright for mounting thereon at least a part of the conductors, a number of first mounting members which can be fixed to the upright and/or crossarms for the purpose of mounting the conductors, wherein the upright and/or crossarms comprise at least one electrically insulating part at the position of the mounting height of the conductors.

  • Patent number: 5710342
Abstract: Carbonyl compounds can be prepared by catalytic oxidation of olefins with oxygen or oxygen-containing gases in a microemulsion (ME) as reaction medium and catalyst support. The catalysts present in ME and used for this purpose are characterized by a content of 0.0001-10% by weight of a Pd compound and by a content of 0.0005-20% by weight of a subgroup metal compound or a quinone, based on the total weight of the catalysts present in the ME.

  • Patent number: 4311107
Abstract: An improved wind-propelled apparatus is disclosed which includes a body mounting a stub mast generally orthogonal thereto. The stub mast is mounted in a well formed on the body and secured by a sleeve, resilient annulus and plug combination. Mounted on the stub mast is a generally vertical sail mast which is rotatable about a vertical axis. The stub mast also mounts a boom of sufficient length as to be capable of passing under the sail and having an eye and strap arrangement for securing the boom on either side of the sail.

  • Patent number: 3996294
Abstract: In the gas phase reaction of methane and oxygen at elevated temperature to form formaldehyde, the improvement which comprises effecting the reaction in the presence of silicon dioxide as catalyst, the silicon dioxide having a large internal surface area. Other metal oxides may be mixed with the silicon dioxide.

  • Patent number: 3946081
Abstract: In a process wherein a hydrocarbon containing a C-C-double bond is oxidatively split with both C atoms of the double bond being converted to carbonyl functions, the improvement which comprises contacting the hydrocarbon with an oxygen-containing gas at an elevated temperature in the presence of at least one oxide of an element of the V, VI or VII auxiliary group of the periodic system (Mendelejev) as catalyst. Preferred catalysts are vanadium, niobium, tantalum, chromium, molybdenum tungsten, uranium, manganese, technetium, or rhenium oxide in stages of oxidation ranging from the maximum to the free metal, preferably on a carrier. Preferred hydrocarbons are ethylene and cyclopentene. Carbonyl functions, e.g. aldehyde or acid, are formed at each carbon making up the double bond.
