  • Patent number: 4923647
Abstract: An apparatus and process for the vulcanization of laminar rubber products wherein the process comprises winding onto a drum an unvulcanized laminar rubber product together with a metallic band, applying a counter force to the metallic band as it is being wound up to prestress the wound up layers, applying substantially uniform pressure on the surface of the conducting band at the point where it and the laminar rubber products are being wound onto the drum and then applying electrical current to the wound up electrically conducting band to provide heat for the vulcanization of the wound up laminar layers. The apparatus comprises two parallel drums interconnected by the metallic band which is first wound with the laminar rubber onto one drum and when the vulcanized laminar rubber is removed the metallic band is wound onto the other drum.

  • Patent number: 4880208
Abstract: The present invention relates to a two-piece valve system for bodies to be filled with gaseous media, liquids, in particular for products for the rubber industry, provided with a valve body embedded in a rubber socket and a valve stem connectable with a thread to the valve body. The characteristic feature of the invention is that the valve body (4) is embedded in its full height in the rubber socket (5), on the inner wall of the throughbore (3) of the valve body (4) a connecting thread (2) is formed, while the outer wall of the valve stem (9) is also provided with a connecting thread (7) and in the inside of the valve body (4) and the threaded end of the valve stem (9) seats (8) are formed for receiving the O-ring (1).

  • Patent number: 4860798
Abstract: In a flexible hose reinforced by wire plies, at least two wire plies are provided and the wires of each wire ply are disposed in helical convolutions about the longitudinal axis of the hose. The improvement is in that the wire plies satisfy the following formula: ##EQU1## wherein: subscript b indicated the plies arranged with left hand thread, subscript j indicates the wire plies arranged with right hand thread,r.sub.b and r.sub.b are the mean radii of the wire plies,N.sub.b and N.sub.b are the number of wires in each wire ply,F.sub.b and F.sub.b are the tensile strength of the wires,.alpha..sub.b and .alpha..sub.j are the angles of lay of the respective wire plies,l stands for the number of wire plies with left hand thread,m is the number of wire plies with right hand thread.

  • Patent number: 4852713
Abstract: A reinforced "C" shaped hand-rail for use with escalators, moving pavements and the likes made of elastic material. The invented hand-rail is injection moulded from polyurethane, foamed polyurethane or other synthetic material possessing similar physical characteristics, so that at least one of its outside and inside is lamellated, the external or internal surface of the side opposite the lamellated surface is wavy conforming to the lamellae. The hand-rail is provided with reinforcing steel wire insert (1).

  • Patent number: 4706711
Abstract: A technical hose with foam insert, expediently a maritime swimming hose for drawing-off oil, as well as to the process for the production thereof. The hose according to the invention consists of the elastic cross-linked elastomer layer containing also fibre-reinforcement, of the foam layer with closed cells arranged above said layer and assuring swimming ability, as well as of the new type of outer coating sheet. The outer coating sheet is a multi-layer system, the elementary layers are previously partially cross-linked, in their cross-section inhomogenous elastomer layers, stretched longitudinally in a given case, being interconnected and connected to the foam layer, respectively, by means of thermally and/or chemically activated adhesive layers.

  • Patent number: 4570964
Abstract: The invention relates to an elastic self-carrying bellows-body, in particular for vehicles, having been formed with ribs separated by spacings and interconnected with connecting means. The essence of the invention lies in that the thickness of the connecting means interconnecting the ribs is less on at least two opposite sides of the bellows-body, than that of the ribs and the ribs and connecting means are formed as monolithic units.
