  • Patent number: 6428739
Abstract: A parison handling device has a pair of opposed arms with each arm having at least a pair of grippers to selectively engage an extruded parison and transfer it to a second location such as to a mold of a blow molding machine. At least one gripper on each arm is both slidably and generally pivotally movable relative to the arm to facilitate initially engaging and gripping the parison and subsequent closing and stretching of a gripped end of the parison to more efficiently distribute the material of the parison such that after blow molding of the parison, the molded product has a substantially uniform wall thickness throughout. Preferably, a follower attached to each movable gripper is responsive to a profile or contour of a cam carried by each arm to guide the movement of the gripper corresponding to the profile of the cam.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4539984
Abstract: A respirator device especially for the respiratory treatment of new-born and inmate infants and for their adaptation to natural breathing. The device comprises oxygen and air ducts, means for adjusting the composition, temperature, humidity, and other parameters of the gas mixture, a patient junction, and pressure adjusting valve means coupled to the junction shunting the gas flow in the junction in such a way that the gas pressure is positive both during expiration and inspiration. The respiration demand of the patient is sensed by a means responsive to pressure drops which controls a starting signal generator and a beat generator. The beat generator controls the valve means. The device can be adjusted to controlled respiration, controlled assisted respiration, inspected and assisted respiration, and continuous positive airway pressure modes, whereby it can be adapted to various respiratory diseases.

  • Patent number: 4524068
Abstract: The invention relates to new inclusion complexes of piperonyl butoxide formed with cyclodextrin. The new complex of the invention can be prepared by reacting cyclodextrin or a solution thereof formed with water and/or an organic solvent having 1-4 carbon atoms, preferably ethanol with piperonyl butoxide or a solution thereof formed with an organic solvent having 1-4 carbon atoms, preferably ethanol at a temperature between 20.degree. C. and 90.degree. C., whereby the piperonyl butoxide is used in an amount of 0.6-1.5 moles related to 1 mole of cyclodextrin. The complexes of the present invention synergize the pesticidal effect of known insecticides and fungicides to a much higher extent of known insecticides and fungicides to a much higher extent than piperonyl butoxide used per se.

  • Patent number: 4439131
Abstract: Concrete elements and a lifting mechanism are secured against tilting at the time of form removal, and the formwork is fixed in place. In the apparatus, a forming unit, a concreting unit and a form removal unit are provided. The forming unit has a single rigid form adapted to shape the bottom and the sides of the elements or products, is open on top and is assembled for use as required. The form removal unit has means for maintaining the product and the removal unit itself in a fixed position against tilting, as well as means for maintaining the formwork in a fixed position, and means for actuating them.
