Abstract: A novel partitioned mold and molding method allows for the molding of articles of a larger size on a given molding machine than would otherwise be possible on the molding machine. The mold cavity is partitioned into two or more portions which are separately injected. The partitions can be removed between respective injections of molten material, or can be mold-in-place partitions which remain in the mold as the entire molding operation is performed and which form part of the finished molded article.
