  • Publication number: 20080179243
Abstract: The present invention is directed to chromatographic media comprising a chromatographic absorbent as a stationary phase, wherein the chromatographic absorbent is disposed in the chromatographic media so as to provide a gradient of hydrophilic, hydrophobic, and/or ionic groups.
    Type: Application
    Filed: January 8, 2008
    Publication date: July 31, 2008
    Inventors: Allen Hirsh, Latchezar Tsonev
  • Publication number: 20080053830
Abstract: Systems and methods for separating charged molecules on the basis of their differential electrostatic binding to a charged stationary phase comprise controlling the creation of simultaneous independent or dependent pH and additive gradients.
    Type: Application
    Filed: August 29, 2007
    Publication date: March 6, 2008
    Inventors: Latchezar Tsonev, Allen Hirsh
  • Publication number: 20070144973
Abstract: The invention provides novel methods for the separation of charged molecules such as proteins according to the isoelectric points (pI's) and includes the systems and buffering compositions employed for isolating charged molecules. The invention further provides for modifications to the above described chromatographic methods that enable the separation of charged molecules exhibiting virtually identical pI's by shifting both the buffer's pKa and the pI's of the eluted charged molecules while they are traversing the ion exchange column.
    Type: Application
    Filed: May 14, 2004
    Publication date: June 28, 2007
    Applicant: Cryobiophysica, Inc.
    Inventors: Latchezar Tsonev, Allen Hirsh
