Abstract: A multifunctional mask having a base covering that covers a wearer's oral and nasal areas, the mask having one or more of the following: one or more pockets located on the base covering for light cargo items; a drape covering the base providing additional protection; a drape extension attached to the drape capable of extending down from the base; an opening area having an opening sized for devices to be inserted in the wearer's mouth; a primary cover covering the opening area; a secondary cover overlapped by the primary cover covering the opening area; a base filter pocket and/or a drape filter pocket for filter materials; attachment slots for attaching the mask to other facial coverings; one or more headset holders for communication devices; and the base having a grid structure allowing air to flow easily through the base to an attached facial covering.
