  • Publication number: 20230345882
Abstract: A portable electric pruning shears including: a longitudinal body intended to be held by one hand of a user, called the holding hand, a cutting tool arranged at a distal end of the body, an electric motor for operating the cutting tool, and a security system provided to protect the user; wherein the security system includes: an emitter for emitting at least one electromagnetic wave and a receiver for receiving at least one electromagnetic wave emitted by the emitter, one of which is embedded by said portable electric pruning shears and the other one of which is intended to be worn by the other hand of the user, called the free hand, and a control unit for acting on the operating of the cutting tool as a function of the wave(s) received by the receiver.

  • Patent number: 11547929
Abstract: Embodiments of an interactive play system are provided. In one such embodiment, an interactive play system includes a satellite having a sensor. The satellite is integrated within a component included within a playground environment. A feedback mechanism is also provided within the playground environment. A computing device supports a selective change between a first programming state in which the feedback mechanism will respond to an actuation of the sensor based on a computer instruction provided by a system administrator and a second programming state in which the feedback mechanism will respond to an actuation of the sensor based on a computer instruction provided by someone other than a system administrator.

  • Publication number: 20210341279
Abstract: Electromagnetic tracking systems and methods for automatically providing the required additional information needed to identify the orientation of a sensor are disclosed. The tracking systems are configured to carry out a digital modulation process to determine one or more parameters needed for calibration and to determine if the carrier wave and the modulated signal are in-phase or 180° out-of-phase at time T=0, thereby determining the operational sign of the carrier wave and thus the orientation of the one or more sensors. In some embodiments, at least one offset coil is arranged to generate an additional magnetic field, and the tracking system may be calibrated on the basis of the additional magnetic field.

  • Publication number: 20090074199
Abstract: A system is disclosed where the well-known psycho-acoustic masking effect, i.e. frequency and/or temporal masking is applied to reduce the human perception of a noise signal. An input signal, such as music or another entertainment signal, is adjusted based on the intensity of the auditory noise by applying existing knowledge about the properties of the human auditory perception and is provided to the human user as a masking sound signal, so that the masking sound elevates the human auditory perception threshold for at least some of the noise signal, whereby the user's perception of that part of the noise signal is reduced or eliminated. The masking sound may be combined with active noise control where a sound in anti-phase with the noise signal is provided for further reduction of the human perception of the noise signal.
