  • Patent number: 12151804
Abstract: A system and method for controlling two or more actuators acting together to move a component or surface includes Two or more actuators engaged with the component or surface to be moved. Each actuator is displaceable to move the component or surface in response to a component or surface position command. Each actuator has an associated actuator controller to receive the position command and to output an actuator displacement command. The system also includes force fight control means configured to determine a force differential from forces, or a pressure differential from pressures measured at each actuator and to derive a speed and/or a current offset signal, and to provide the offset signal to the actuator controllers to modify the actuator displacement commands.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 18, 2022
Date of Patent: November 26, 2024
    Assignee: GOODRICH ACTUATION SYSTEMS SAS

  • Patent number: 11067496
Abstract: A new system is described that is able to detect mechanical failures in a rotating shaft or shafts such as those which may be found in an aircraft or other mechanical device or vehicle. The system comprises a first accelerometer provided on the rotating shaft to be monitored and a reference accelerometer provided elsewhere. The system can compensate information received from these accelerometers so as to determine a fault in the rotating shaft that is being monitored.

  • Patent number: 10910827
Abstract: A solid state power controller, SSPC, having an input to receive supply current and an output for providing output current to a load in response to connection to the power supply, the solid state power controller further comprising at least one solid state switch and a controller to limit the power dissipated in the solid state power switch based on a measured voltage across the solid state switch and a predetermined power dissipation threshold for the SSPC to adjust the output current or voltage control signal of the solid state switch such that the actual power dissipation of the SSPC does not exceed the threshold.

  • Patent number: 10291111
Abstract: A system and method includes parallel power converters, at least one current sensor, and a first feedback control circuit. A first power converter is configured to convert a first input power to a first output power, and is controlled using pulse width modulation having a first switching period. One or more second power converters are connected in parallel with the first power converter and configured to convert a second input power to a second output power. The first output power and the second output power are provided to a load. The at least one current sensor is positioned to sense first output current of the first output power, and the first feedback control circuit is configured to calculate a first metric based on the first sensed current at each of a plurality of first edges of each half switching period of the first switching period, and at intermediate points between each of the plurality of first edges.
