  • Patent number: 8599536
Abstract: A power transformer and electrical current distribution device has a 480 V power inlet receptacle, at least one 120 V or 240 V power outlet receptacle, a transformer for transforming 480 V current to at least one of 120 V and 240 V current, and a first housing and a second housing each containing at least some of the 480 V inlet receptacle, the outlet receptacle and the transformer. A first part of an electrical connector is provided at the first housing, and a second part of an electrical connector at the second housing to mate with the first part of the electrical connector. The first housing part and the second housing part are electrically connected and disconnected at the electrical connector to permit transport of the power transformer and electrical current distribution device in at least two pieces.

  • Patent number: 7705272
Abstract: A bolt heater including a junction housing, a handle attached and secured to a wall of the housing solely from an exterior of the housing, such as by a threaded connection, a power cable including a fitting attached directly to the wall of the housing, and an electrical resistance heater rod attached to the wall of the housing. The wall may have a boss with a recess therein for receiving a portion of the handle. The housing may be a hollow cylinder with a circular top wall, a circular bottom wall, and a cylindrical side wall. The heater rod may be attached to the housing via a threaded connection and the housing may have a non-circular portion near the threaded connection point, the non-circular portion being engageable by a tool to assist in the threading attachment of the heater rod to the housing.

  • Patent number: 4817475
Abstract: The present invention provides a wrench socket that has a driven end for receiving a driving wrench in an internal or female drive opening, a driving end for engaging a threaded fastener to transmit a driving torque to the fastener and an intermediate external or male drive surface area which can be engaged by a second driving wrench. A removable retaining member is provided to assure that the second wrench is held on the socket, and a series of sockets may be provided which have various sized driving ends, but all have identical sized female drive openings and identical sized male drive surface areas so that only a single sized first wrench or a single sized second wrench need be used to drive a range of sizes of threaded fasteners. The driving end can be in any form, such as a castellated opening, a female hex-shaped opening or a male hex-shaped projection.
