The package comprises a support member and a flexible skin-forming film draped over the cheese product wherein the support member has an oxygen transmission rate in the range of from 80 to 500 cm3/m2-day-bar at 23° C. and 0% RH and the flexible film has an oxygen transmission rate greater than 60 cm3/m2-day-bar at 23° C. and 0% RH.
