Abstract: An adhesive patch for a composite structure, an adhesive for that patch and a method for forming the adhesive patch for the composite structure are described. The adhesive includes three uncured components of a bismaleimide polymeric mixture. Two of these components are liquid. The liquids include a liquid vinyl-terminated rubber monomer and a liquid bis(alkenylaromatic)aryl or bis(alkenylaromatic)alkyl monomer. The further component is a solid bismaleimide monomer that is intimately mixed and suspended in the liquid bis(alkenylaromatic)aryl or bis(alkenylaromatic)alkyl monomer and liquid vinyl-terminated rubber.
