  • Patent number: 11466142
Abstract: The present invention concerns a cellulose based composition for manufacturing a film or foil, which composition comprises at least one selected from the group consisting of cellulose acetate butyrate, cellulose acetate propionate and ethyl cellulose, together with tall oil fatty acid ester, as well as a manufacturing method thereof. The invention also concerns packaging film comprising the composition and use of the composition.

  • Patent number: 10975522
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of manufacturing paper or board, the paper or board obtained by the method, and a method of producing a tray from the board. In a fibrous stock for papermaking is incorporated an amount of polymer coated fibrous particles, which even have a foaming agent such as moisture contained therein. A web is formed from the fibrous stock on a forming fabric of a paper or board machine, followed by pressing and drying to a finished paper or board. As the paper or board is sufficiently heated the foaming agent within the particles evaporates, causing expansion and foaming of the polymer coating, which adds to malleability of the board as it is moulded into a shaped article such as a board tray. The invention even covers production of doubly coated fibrous particles for use in said methods, the inner coating layer being of a foamable polymer with a higher melt flow rate and the outer coating layer being of a non-foaming polymer of a lower melt flow rate.

  • Patent number: 9382436
Abstract: The invention concerns a method for modification of the surface of a body, especially a film-shaped body, wherein a fiber-containing substance comprising nano-sized polysaccharide fiber particles is dispersed in a medium essentially composed of water and a polar solvent to form a suspension. The suspension is applied on the surface by a printing method. According to the invention, the viscosity of the suspension is adjusted to a range that is suitable for the printing method by adjusting the fiber concentration of the suspension. The invention concerns also a composition disposable onto the surface of a body, such as a film-shaped body, by a non-contact inkjet printing method. According to the invention, the composition comprises nanocellulose fibers suspended in a medium essentially composed of water and a polar solvent, miscible with water, wherein the concentration of nanocellulose fibers is 0.5 to 1.5%, preferably 0.5 to 1%, most preferably about 0.7% of said composition.
