  • Publication number: 20160086177
Abstract: Methods and systems for providing smart gross management of repairs and exceptions for payment processing are presented. In some embodiments, a computing device may receive data regarding a plurality of payment transactions involving a client account of a financial institution. Subsequently, the computing device may identify one or more rejected and/or otherwise defective transactions in the plurality of transactions. After identifying such rejected transactions, the computing device may create an account entry for an amount corresponding to the plurality of transactions. Notably, such an account entry may be created, and a corresponding debit or credit may be made, prior to initiating repairs for the rejected transactions. After creating the account entry, the computing device may initiate repairs for the rejected transactions. The computing device also may send a notification indicating that the amount corresponding to the plurality of transactions has been debited or credited to the client account.

  • Patent number: 8607308
Abstract: A system and methods for facilitating privacy enforcement are described. Embodiments of the present invention can deliver automated compliance and/or enforcement for certain consumer privacy laws and privacy-related policies to employees and contractors of an enterprise. When input related to the use of stored customer information is received, data subsystems can be accessed by a privacy engine, which then provides decisioning to produce an enforcement action. Examples of enforcement actions can include denying access to customer information, or granting such access but filtering the information. Enforcement actions can also include updating stored tables or other data structures to maintain an appropriate privacy enforcement posture when new information is added to systems or existing information is changed.

  • Patent number: 4839621
Abstract: A print mechanism has a laterally spaced longitudinally driven actuator or slider mounted between two electromagnets. By selective actuation of the electromagnets the slider is driven forward to strike a print element and produce printed information. A unique dampener assembly is provided to absorb recoil energy and maintain a fixed start position. The dampener assembly includes a return spring and a three layer damper that absorbs the excess recoil energy without experiencing permanent deformation.
