Abstract: Disclosed are devices and methods sterilization wireless communication devices. The devices and methods described involve a sterilizable wireless communication device including a communication module. The communication module includes a transceiver capable of direct wireless communication. The sterilizable wireless communication device further includes a housing having an interior sized to contain the communication module. The communication module is hermetically sealed within the housing and the housing includes a hermetic radio frequency feedthrough configured to couple to an antenna that is external to the housing.
