  • Patent number: 10436661
Abstract: Heat resistant sensors equipped with any of a variety of transducers for measuring any of a variety of properties of fluids are constructed with components comprising materials that can withstand very high temperatures. Some embodiments of the sensors include a base comprising non-conductive ceramic material, and some embodiments of the transducers include conductive ceramic materials with resistivities that vary as a function of temperature. Some embodiments of the sensors also include electrical conductors comprising electrically conductive ceramic material or electrical conductors comprising an electrically conductive refractory metal on the base. Other embodiments of the transducers include a capacitor constructed of materials that can withstand very high temperatures.

  • Patent number: 9342655
Abstract: In a system, a computer readable recording medium and a method, user input can be received in response to prompts on a display, wherein the user input may identify a processable medical item (e.g., a medical sample or medical product) and can select each of a plurality of discrete actions for handling the medical item. The actions can have an at least implied order to be performed. Based on the received user input, identification information can be stored which identifies the medical item. Action information can also be stored which represents the selected actions. Then, a flow diagram can be displayed with at least some of the action information and at least some of the identification information. The flow diagram can depict at least some of the selected actions, the actions being automatically arranged on the displayed screen in the at least implied order.

  • Patent number: 8645861
Abstract: An information processing system can be provided in accordance with an aspect of the invention which includes a processor and instructions executable by the processor to perform a method. Such method can be performed, for example, by receiving user input in response to prompts on a display, wherein the user input identifies a processable medical item (e.g., a medical sample or medical product). The user input can select each of a plurality of discrete actions for handling the medical item. The actions can have an at least implied order to be performed. Based on the received user input, identification information can be stored which identifies the medical item. Action information can also be stored which represents the selected actions. Then, a flow diagram can be displayed with at least some of the action information and at least some of the identification information.

  • Publication number: 20100199222
Abstract: In one aspect, a method for interacting with a representation of a family tree is provided. The method comprises receiving family tree information from a user with respect to the family tree, displaying a representation of the family tree based, at least in part, on the received family tree information, receiving update information from the user indicating at least one modification to the family tree and/or the family tree representation, the update information received via the user interacting directly with the graphical representation of the family tree, performing the at least one modification to the family tree and/or family tree representation, and displaying a representation of the family tree with the at least one modification.
