  • Publication number: 20240071593
Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed that provide smart alerts to users, e.g., alerts to users about diabetic states that are only provided when it makes sense to do so, e.g., when the system can predict or estimate that the user is not already cognitively aware of their current condition, e.g., particularly where the current condition is a diabetic state warranting attention. In this way, the alert or alarm is personalized and made particularly effective for that user. Such systems and methods still alert the user when action is necessary, e.g., a bolus or temporary basal rate change, or provide a response to a missed bolus or a need for correction, but do not alert when action is unnecessary, e.g., if the user is already estimated or predicted to be cognitively aware of the diabetic state warranting attention, or if corrective action was already taken.

  • Patent number: 5630512
Abstract: A display and storage container apparatus includes a base member and a set of inner wall members which project upward from the top surface of the base member. The base member and the inner wall members define an interior storage space. A set of transparent outer wall members also project upward from the top surface of the base member. Each of the transparent outer wall members is spaced from an adjacent inner wall member by a gap, such that each gap provides a graphic reception region for receiving a graphic element for display. A graphic element is visible from the outside of the display and storage container apparatus through a transparent outer wall member. A cover assembly is supported by the transparent outer wall members for covering the graphic reception region and the interior storage space. A rotation assembly can be attached to the bottom surface of the base member.
