Abstract: Systems and method of automated master election for high availability database system are discussed herein. Automated lock competition and master worker selection based on factors that may include geographic parameters, processing power, connection speed, and relative locations of database(s) and worker(s) are also discussed.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product are provided for transitioning among states during use of a voice browser. Initially, a script is received at a voice browser from a web server utilizing a network. Next, the script is executed utilizing the voice browser. A plurality of states is then automatically tracked during the execution of the script utilizing the voice browser. Upon receiving a request from a user during the execution of the script to transition to a previous state, the voice browser automatically transitions to the previous state of the script.

Abstract: A system, method and computer program product are provided for dynamically extending element types for a voice-based extensible mark-up language (VoiceXML). Initially, a plurality of element types are registered with a VoiceXML interpreter. In use, such registered element types are received during use of the VoiceXML interpreter. In response to such receipt, code associated with the registered element types is accessed utilizing the VoiceXML interpreter. Such code extends the functionality of the VoiceXML.

Abstract: The invention is a translation framework which performs data conversions in an object oriented environment from clipboards, drag, and drop tend entire files and entire objects into compound documents. There are three primary classes: the translator, the translator surrogates, and the translation query. Translators are heavy objects that may include the translator's shared library and supporting libraries. The framework uses light weight surrogate translators as stand-ins for translators. The surrogates do not pull in the translators unless there is a request to do an actual translation. When a translation is requested, the translator must be streamed into the address space of the repeating client. Clients desiring a document object be translated for inclusion in a compound document interact with the framework by using queries to access a translation surrogate.
